The ancient taro farm (lo'i kalo) has been restored to yield Diamond Standard kalo and concurrently provide a habitat for endemic, endangered species.
Hawaiian Food Security
Kalo (taro) holds profound significance in our culture, history, and spirituality. Ancient Hawaiian technology produces our fully organic Diamond Standard taro (kalo). We also produce taro leaves (laulau), breadfruit (ulu), goats, and much, much more.
Habitat for Endangered Species
We malama (care, protect, and preserve) a safe haven for vulnerable, endangered Hawaiian species. Both plants and animals engage in mutual symbiosis, supporting each other's survival and enabling the continuation of their generational lineage within the sanctuary of our habitat.
Therapeutic Environment for Emotional Wellness
The mana (intensity of a resonating subatomic frequency or “life force”) of the taro farm (lo’i kalo) is soothing and calming. The therapeutic environment in nature offers a refuge for plants, ecosystems, and people, and it provides existential learning opportunities.
Local Hawaiian Farm
Deference to our kupuna (ancestors) guide our future. Our ohana (family) are kanaka ma’oli (indigenous people), directly descended from the Kamehameha line. We honor the wisdom of our kupuna and keiki (children) by continuing the principles of indigenous agriculture for its ability to procure food while preserving the integrity and function of our ecosystems.
Land of Kings
Our local Hawaiian lo’i kalo (taro farm), where kalo have been cultivated for generations, once served the esteemed Kamehameha royal line. Nestled on Hawaii's “North Shore”, renowned as a surfing mecca and the Big Wave Capital of the World, our farm benefits from the region's unique topography and abundant natural freshwater springs formerly reserved for only Kings and Queens. The harmonious convergence of these environmental elements creates an energy that is both invigorating and tranquil, infusing our surroundings with a sense of infectious serenity. Life is good.
